Today I wondered; does one truly meet the love of their lives? Do you truly find your soul mate? Or do we just settle, after a certain point do we decide to stop looking and just settle. Is that why most marriages n America end up in divorce? Does one truly come to know what love truly is and if we do how would we know he or she is truly that someone we4 have longed for and though only existed in our dreams. Maybe I’m too you to even try to come up with an answer to these questions, but than again when will I be old enough to know? Is there truly and age for love. Does love have a number? How would we know when we reach this number? What is love really? It is the subject, language, inspiration and feeling that has been spoken and written of for ages. But what is love? Is it a feeling, a way of life, an experience, or all combined? How do you know to who give your all to? If you give your all to a boyfriend or girlfriend it’s “morally wrong” but than again with the chances of you dying with the one you married, might as we give you all to that someone that was special right in than moment. Are love and pain? Is that why we can have and yet, still love someone? When is love a sin? If it is a feeling than how can it be a sin? How can someone define anyone’s feelings as sinful? How can it be illegal to love?! If you truly fee that someone older than you or younger than you is the one for you, than how can anyone or anything intend to take that away from you? This brings me to my next point. If you do live for today, If there were no tomorrow, why would anyone wait to see if there is someone else that makes them feel greater than the person you are with now? We are not guaranteed tomorrow and that is a fact. That is one of the few things that one can be sure of. So why wait for an unsure tomorrow? Why not drink today? Why not go skinny-dipping at night? Heck if you feel like kissing someone suck them dry!! And love!! Love like never before!! If we do live to see a tomorrow why should we regret! If you live to see another sunrise don’t regret yesterday, hold it forever in the palm of your hand. Who do we wait and try to do things the right way? Why do we live by society’s rules?? Why do we wait until the right moment to take action? Why not now? Why not today?!! We only have one life to live and today to live it, so let’s enjoy it!!! Why wait until the next time, or the later, or the tomorrow, or the next time? Why do we accept mediocrity?! Risks are a part of this “life" of which people speak of so deliberately and if you are willing to risk your one in a life time adventures counting on the unsure of tomorrow than do so! But, if you were to die tomorrow or in a couple of hours could you really die proud, happy and smiling? Will you be remembered how you wanted to be remembered? This all began with a though I had today as I was walking home. I felt the breeze embracing my skin and holding me so tenderly in the moment where I was above the hectic time we live it, and I questioned myself. I asked my self, if I were to die tomorrow would I die happy? Satisfied with what I have left behind in this world? Would I go to heaven or hell? And I cam e to the fallowing conclusion… … If I were to dies were to die today I have many yesterdays to take with me and many tomorrow what would stay but in someone else’s present and future. I’ve seen little of this God given world, I don’t know what love is, but than again who does? So does it matter? I’d die young and with very little experience on “life”. Although for a 16 year old High school junior I must say I do consider myself to be pretty wise. Maybe I’ve experience more with 16 years than some has with 18. Who knows who will ever know? I’ve been to Canada, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, I lived in Colorado where the Rocky Mountain lay and I’ve seen on of the wonders of the world, the Niagara Falls! I lived and was born on the most beautiful Caribbean island! Puerto Rico! I live in the sunshine state where the oranges have a bittersweet taste… But if I were to dies today I’d die pleased with my experiences in this world but nonetheless, I would die unhappy. I have heard too many second hand stories that I want to convert into firsthand stories and tell them to my children and their children. I want to find my definition of love, I’d love to see France, Rome, London, Germany, China, Australia heck why not I even want to see penguins in their natural habitat. I want to die next to the on that God made for me, the one he sent me from up above; and If I were to go to hell I wan t memories of my life to take me away and make my eternity of pain a Utopian paradise and if I were blessed to go to heaven I want to over whelm God with my life stories. Lord knows if I will find true love and if I do or do not, one thing I know for sure, and you should too make this your motto for life. Love to live, live to love, love to laugh, laugh and love, laugh and live!! Love, laugh and live everyday! For it just might be your last.
